Hi, I am the Founder of Root Connection and a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, Shaman, and massage therapist. I’ve dedicated my life to the pursuit of integrated healing, where the mind, body, and soul come together to create a symphony of well-being. My mission is to guide you on a path toward true harmony and wholeness, seamlessly blending ancient wisdom with modern science to provide you with an unparalleled healing experience.

My Expertise- Certifications and Training

Acupuncture & Herbalism– I earned a Master’s degree in Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture in 1995.

I have been a practicing, Licensed Acupuncturist in Massachusetts since then.  I am board certified      from the NCCAOM and I have two offices, one in Cambridge, MA and the other in Falmouth, on Cape Cod. I’m strongly influenced by the Daoist style of Dr. Jeffrey C. Yuen in my approach to Oriental Medicine.

Additional Training: Apart from acupuncture and herbal medicine, I’ve also completed a two-year program in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. I’m a graduate of the Healing the Light Body School of Shamanism and have been studying Sat Nam Rasayan with Guru Dev Singh for twenty years. This technique heals directly through heightened consciousness. My diverse training has equipped me to provide holistic and integrated healing to clients according to their requirements.

My Story

My journey began 43 years ago in 1980 with the practice of massage. Since then, I’ve continuously expanded my comprehension of healing and the human condition. My path led me to Central Africa, where I devoted two years to health extension work.

While in Africa, I had the privilege to witness and collaborate with a multitude of local healers, addressing a broad spectrum of tropical illnesses. During my time in Central Africa, I also found myself in the distinctive role of coordinating my health initiatives with a Chinese Outpost Hospital. It was here that I first witnessed the miracle of Acupuncture as a healing modality and began to understand the breadth of Shamanic Healing.  The challenges of navigating diverse languages and cultures – from English and French to Sango and Chinese – were immense, yet they provided me with the opportunity to collaborate with teams of healers, each bringing their intricately textured understandings of health, disease, and the human condition to the forefront. Together, we dedicated ourselves to helping the patients of our small tropical hospital, demonstrating the power of diverse perspectives in the pursuit of well-being.
Upon returning home, I briefly ventured into a two-year master’s program in architecture. However, it didn’t take long for me to recall my true calling. I had initially set my sights on medical school when my life took a sudden turn. I fell gravely ill with viral meningitis, a moment of crisis that ultimately led me to experience the profound healing potential of acupuncture.

Integrated Healing

I believe that healing isn’t just a method; it’s a continually evolving connection where true health means being wholly integrated. I prioritize addressing the physical aspects of health while harmonizing the intricate interplay of thoughts, emotions, choices, longings, and the depths of the heart and soul. My approach transcends traditional methods, providing a nurturing environment where individuals can ultimately become whole. My unique approach combines the healing power and health benefits of Chinese Herbs, Acupuncture, Shiatsu, Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Nutrition, Energy Work, Shamanic Healing, and breathwork. The seamless integration of these disciplines sets me apart, allowing the healing process to address the entire individual.

My practice is a sanctuary for those seeking true integration, where the divisions between the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual realms blur. I combine my expertise, compassion, and unwavering dedication, to create a healing space where you can become the healthiest and happiest version of yourself.
